The Business Services Department provides business-type services to all 20 school districts in Merced County, as well as various departments here at MCOE. This includes payroll, district services, internal business, information technology services, Stores, printing, and grants
Departments under Business Services are as follows:

District Services Department, of which Ann Peters is the Director, includes three contracted CBO's, that work with superintendents of smaller districts to help develop their budgets for the fiscal year, provide year-end financial reporting to the state, and all other financial needs as requested.
- District Payroll, managed by Susan Walker, provides payroll processing services to all 20 school districts.

Internal Business, directed by Misty Key, oversees the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable technicians, state reporting, annual audits, and reports operations to the County Board of Education.

Information Technology Services, Director Linda Burk provides technology leadership and assistance to students, teachers, administrators, and support staff of MCOE and its 20 school districts. This includes the telephone system, voice mail, and cell phones.

Support Services, Terry Ruscoe, Director. The Support Services Department handles purchasing, shipping and receiving, Stores, mail room, print shop, copiers, new facility development, record retention, and surplus property disposal.
- Maintenance & Operations and Transportation, managed by Pat Kelly, maintains the grounds, janitorial, and MCOE vehicles.
