District Services Payroll services all 20 of the school districts in Merced County as well as the County Office. This department pays over 7,000 full-time employees, substitutes, and part-time employees.
Payroll reviews district pay transactions, processes mid and end-of-the-month payrolls, prepares all local, state, and federal tax withholding reports; facilitates in-service training for district payroll personnel, handles all certificated and classified retirement reports, and issues our W-2 and 1099 forms.
