District Services Payroll services all 21 of the school districts in Merced County including the County Office. This department pays over 12,500 full-time employees, substitutes, and part-time employees.
Payroll reviews district pay transactions, processes supplemental and end-of-the-month payrolls, prepares all local, state, and federal tax withholding reports; facilitates in-service training for district payroll personnel, handles all certificated and classified retirement reports, and issues our W-2 forms.
