The Facilities Department is responsible for Facilities, Maintenance, Operations, Utility and Transportation Services of the Merced County Office of Education (MCOE). This department serves all 20 school districts in Merced County.

The Facilities Department provides school facility development and construction services for all MCOE educational facilities throughout the County. These services include the following: design and architectural support, real estate acquisition and entitlement, bidding and contract implementation, construction management and financial management of building projects and state acceptance of completed projects. These professional services are also made available to the more than 120 school sites represented by the MCOE.

Maintenance, Operations, Utility and Transportation divisions, under the direction of the Facilities Department, provides support for many county sites; including maintenance on the Merced County Office of Education’s fleet of vehicles.
