How can I enroll my child

You may apply for enrollment in Head Start (preschool) or Early Head Start (0 to 3 years old) at any time.

To complete an application, the following is needed:

  • Proof of income for the past 12 months (current tax return, W-2, passport to services or check stubs)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Up-to-date Immunization Record

To apply for enrollment, please complete the interest survey or call 209-381-5170. A secretary will help you identify the Head Start closest to you, and will get you in touch with a Family Support Services provider who will help you identify the type of program (center-based, home-based) that will best meet the needs of your family. The Family Support Service Provider will guide you through the application process. ​
