The Merced County Office of Education Human Resources Department understands that its employees are a valuable resources and appreciates the great benefits to be realized from a workforce that is diverse and representative of the community it serves.
While holding to this core value, Human Resources staff plan, coordinate, and manage certificated and classified personnel functions for the MCOE. Services include but are not limited to recruitment and selection of employees, employment related counseling, classification and salary placement, internal payroll functions, professional development, negotiating, implementing and administering collective bargaining agreements, personnel policy implementation, risk management services, record maintenance, and employee recognition. HR staff conducts scheduled credential assignment monitoring and review for Merced County school districts and provides warrant verification services ensuring valid credential status for certificated staff throughout the county.
