Early Care and Education

The Early Care and Education Department (ECE) is home to multiple programs providing quality early care and education services to young children, their families and the greater community.  Programs within the ECE include:

    A.C.C.E.S.S. Child Care Subsidy Programs (Alternative Payment Programs)

    A.C.C.E.S.S. Resource and Referral Services (support and training for child care  
    providers/child care referrals for families)

    WRAP/AB 212 (Child care provider stipends)

    CEL (Centralized Eligibility List)

    CPIN (California Preschool Instructional Network) Region 7

    Merced County Head Start Program

    
Merced County Local Child Care and Development Planning Council

    Preschool For All (in collaboration with First 5 Merced County)

    Special Projects (Caring Kids, Constructing Connections)
