AB 212
Merced County Salary and Retention Incentive Program
2007 - 2008 Application Guidelines
(For persons working in California Department of Education/Child Development Division subsidized early care and education centers.)
The Child Care Salary/Retention Incentive Program was authorized by AB 212 (Aroner) to provide funding to encourage early care and education/child care professionals to remain in the child care field and to continue to improve their skills through education and training. Each county develops a plan that must be approved by the California Department of Education. In Merced County, the Local Child Care and Development Planning Council is responsible for developing the plan and the Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) is the entity that holds the contract with the California Department of Education.
