Request for Child Care Referrals

Choosing quality child care is one of the most important decisions any family will ever make. Parents are responsible to select care that meets the special physical, social, emotional, cognitive, behavioral and creative needs of their children. A.C.C.E.S.S. Resource & Referral (R&R) provides families with information about quality child care and will assist you with understanding the many child care options available in Merced County.

Please use the form below to request a list of licensed family child care providers and centers. An R&R staff member will call you, usually within one business day of submitting this form, to discuss your family's child care needs and preferences.  Once these needs and preferences are known a customized list of child care providers will be generated for you.  

A.C.C.E.S.S. Resource & Referral does not recommend one child care provider over another. The responsibility for selecting a child care provider rests with the parent. We strongly recommend that you visit facilities, interview providers and staff, and ask for references. You may call Fresno Community Care Licensing Department at (559) 243-4588 to obtain information about any complaints filed against a licensed child care provider. We will also provide you with information about what to look for when choosing quality child care.
