Merced County ASSETS

After School Student Education: Teamwork for Success

Program Description

The Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) was awarded a State of California After School Education and Safety Grant to implement after school programs at thirty-one (31) school sites in Merced County.  This is a collaborative project between MCOE, school districts, and community organizations to coordinate, integrate, and enhance academic and enrichment opportunities for students.

  • Hmong Literacy Class
  • Cultural Awareness Class
  • Library Access
  • Computers
  • Dance, Dance, Revolution Fitness
  • Nintendo Wii Recreational Fitness Games
  • Achieve Now/Achieve More  (Reading/Language Arts & Mathematics) Playstation 2 Games

Who can attend?

Program enrollment is open to all students in the school.  However, should enrollment exceed the program capacity, a waiting list will be developed.

How do I register?

Pick up applications in the school office or call 209-381-5934 to obtain registration information about the ASSETS program.

Program Hours?

ASSETS site programs operate each day after school until 6:00 pm, including minimum school days.

Program Cost?

The Merced County ASSETS Program is provided at NO COST to all participants.
