Merced County ASSETS

After School Student Education: Teamwork for Success

Program Description

The Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) was awarded a State of California After School Education and Safety Grant to implement after school programs at 39 school sites in Merced County.  This is a collaborative project between MCOE, school districts, and community organizations to coordinate, integrate, and enhance academic and enrichment opportunities for students.

  • Monthly Thematic Units
  • Service Learning Projects
  • Health & Wellness
  • Recreational Sports & Activities
  • Visual & Performing Arts
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Dance, Dance, Revolution Fitness
  • Nintendo Wii Recreational Fitness

Who can attend?

Program enrollment is open to all students in the school.  However, should enrollment exceed the program capacity, a waiting list will be developed.

Pick up applications in the school office or call 209-381-5934 to obtain registration information.

Program Hours?

ASSETS programs operate each day after school until 6:00 pm or at least 15 hours a week including minimum school days.

Program Cost?

The Merced County ASSETS Program is provided at NO COST to all participants.
