Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment

Merced/Mariposa BTSA Induction Program:

The Merced/Mariposa County BTSA Induction Program supports teachers with California, out of state, and out of country preliminary credentials through a structured induction experience. The program is designed to increase their pedagogical knowledge and abilities as well as student achievement as measured by the state-adopted academic content standards and student performance levels.

Newly credentialed teachers are now required to complete an induction program in order to gain a clear credential recommendation. Induction is a two-year process where the inductee works with a trained support provider in a program that is based on the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
