How to Apply for the Seal of Multilingual Proficiency
I. Submit an Intent to Apply form
Deadline: Intent forms may be submitted any time after January 3, 2012, but must be received no later than Friday, January 27, 2012, 4 PM. Intent to Apply forms may be US Mailed or delivered in person.
- Submission Window: January 3, 2012 - January 27, 2012
II. Submit complete LinguaFolio to the Merced County Office of Education
Deadline: All completed LinguaFolios must be received no later than Friday, February 10, 2012, 4 PM.
III. If invited to continue, based on a sufficient score on the LinguaFolio, students will participate in the interview process and respond to an on-demand writing prompt, Saturday, March 10, 2012. Students will be assigned to a particular time slot.
- Oral interview in English and the target language
- On-demand writing sample in the target language
