Early Education
The Merced County Office of Education Early Education Department supports young children, families, early educators, and the community through an integrated system of early learning and care services.
Guided by MCOE’s commitment to nurture, serve, and lead, our department works to strengthen families, support early educators, and provide high-quality early learning experiences that are responsive to each child’s stage of development. We collaborate with families, child care providers, school districts, and community partners to ensure children learn and grow in safe, nurturing environments.
Our work focuses on:
- Nurturing strong relationships with families and honoring their voice in their children’s education
- Serving families by connecting them to essential resources and coordinated supports
- Leading countywide efforts to improve access, quality, equity, innovation, and collaboration across early learning systems
Through collaboration, and continuous improvement, the Early Education Department builds strong foundations for lifelong learning.
