• Interview & placement: 1–2 weeks after approval

• Schedule: Approximately 4 hours per day
• Additional hours: May be available through Head Start or private centers

Participation in the internship program is competitive, and placement is not guaranteed. Selection is based on the applicant's qualifications, interview, demonstrated professionalism, ability to work collaboratively with childen, families, and staff, and the availability of appropriate internship placements. The Early Education Department reserved the right to determine whether an applicant is an appropriate fir for the program and available placement sites.

Yes, each intern is paired with a mentor for guidance and support. Interns also receive one-on-one coaching visits every other week.
