Welcome to Child Care Subsidy Programs!
ACCESS is the program established by Merced County Office of Education to administer State and Federal supported child care programs. The central purpose of the child care subsidy programs is to provide subsidized child care and education services to eligible parents and assist them in achieving their self-sufficiency goals. Child care is provided according to the need and eligibility of the parent and may be little or no cost for the family. Parents choose the type of care and the provider of care. Parents may select licensed care in centers or family child care homes, “exempt” care with eligible relatives or friends, and care that includes religious instruction (in Federally funded programs only). There are multiple programs to assist families, which include CalWORKs Stages 1, 2 & 3, Alternative Payments/Block Grants, CCTR (General Child Care) and Family Child Care Partnership with Early Head Start.
