About CTE/ROP
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students with academic and technical skills, knowledge and a pathway to postsecondary education and careers. CTE programs are often provided by regional structures to serve students throughout multiple school districts and adults looking to gain hands-on training.
The California Association of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (CAROCP) is an organization that promotes and supports ROCPs in providing career education, career development, and workforce preparation that contributes to student academic and career success and to the economic development of California. Regional Occupational Centers and Programs originated in 1967 and the Merced County Regional Occupational Program has been in continuous operation since 1973.
