WonderWorks Field Lab at Merced Applegate Zoo

Students from Weaver Union School District participated in a WonderWorks Field Lab at Merced Applegate Zoo, where they collected data on animal behavior, created nature journals and built dioramas! Students also presented zoo renovation suggestions to the City of Merced, including Mayor Matthew Serratto and Chris Jensen, Director of Parks and Recreation, based on what they learned about a specific animal’s natural habitat.

Investing in the critical thinkers, mindful doers, and transformative innovators of tomorrow.
