Parents of children enrolled in the Migrant Education Program participate in the planning and evaluation of programs for migrant students, which include staff hiring.

Parent Advisory Committees at district and regional levels advise migrant and district staff on matters pertaining to the needs of migrant students. Each parent council holds a minimum of six meetings per year.

The Regional Parent Advisory Council’s role is to advise the Migrant Education Program administration as to the needs of migrant students and parents.

The Council has members from across the three county region (Merced, Madera and Stanislaus Counties).  They meet six times a year (extraordinary meetings can be called, if the need presents itself).  Below are the agendas and minutes from their meetings.
