MCOE oversees four Valley Community School sites in Merced County, including juvenile hall. These school sites provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere to help every individual student develop a desire for personal growth and life-long learning.
Students will acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to reach their full potential as citizens who can successfully meet the challenges of a changing global society.

Valley Community Schools continue the STRIVE program, which ensures each student can attend school in a Safe, Trusted, Respectful, Inspirational, Visionary and Encouraging environment that is conducive to learning and achievement.
The program will integrate Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to teach students the behavioral expectations at school.
