Educational grants offer financial support to teachers throughout the academic year. See below to find more information on the available grants for teachers.

U Can Teach - Classified Employees Grant

The U Can Teach Grant provides financial support for classified employees within Merced County working towards a teaching credential. This grant is a reimbursement-based grant where each participant can be reimbursed for eligible expenses up to $4,800 annually in financial support based on participant need.

Golden State Teachers Grant​​

The Golden State Teacher Grant Program (GSTG) is provided by the California Student Aid Commission and awards up to $20,000 to students currently enrolled in a professional preparation program approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and working towards earning their preliminary teaching or pupil personnel services credential.

Students must complete their program and obtain their credential within 3 years form the first distribution of GSTG funds and commit to work at a priority school is California for 4 years within 8 years of completing their program.

Early Education Teacher Development Grant

​The consortium will increase the number of CSPP and TK teachers and increase competencies in the workforce by implementing the following activities and services over the three year grant period: Advisement Services, Professional Development and Direct Financial Support to TK teachers needing to obtain their 24 ECE units and PK teachers working towards their Multiple Subject Credential. Each candidate can be reimbursed for eligible expenses up to $5,500 each year.

Golden State Teacher Grant

Up to $20,000 to students currently enrolled in a CTC professional preparation program.
