Class Description

Computerized Office Technology for Adults is designed for today's "High Tech" employees. The course will focus on the computer technology and office skills employers are looking for in employees.

Teacher Information


Teresa Machado currently teaches Computerized Office Technology for Adults.  She has over 20 years of experience working with various businesses through out Merced County Merced. Teresa worked for Sorensen's True Value for over 17 years as Operations Manager, eight years with Merced County Dept. of Workforce Investment, as an Employment & Training Specialist II / Business Service Representative, employed with Lorensen Propane as Office Manager and since January 2006 with Merced County Office of Education as an Independent Studies Instructor.  Furthermore she has been part time employed with Merced College teaching at the Plato Lab and a Business Class at the Los Banos Campus. In the spring of 1982, she graduated from Merced College with an Associates of Arts Degree in General Education and in 1986 she graduated from Stanislaus with B.S. Business Administration.  She is currently enrolled in course work towards her Vocational Educational Credential. Mrs. Machado has lived in Los Banos for the past 35 years.  She has three children and a wonderful husband.  She enjoys spending time working in the yard and sewing. 

Mission Statement

My mission is to be a role model to the adult students by allowing them to focus on life and employability skills.  To assist students in overcome barriers and to concentrate on previous and current life achievements is the ultimate goal.  Finally I want to instill my students that careers and education is an ongoing series that we continuously work towards to achieve life successes.
