Class DescriptionCollege Credit is available Internships in Agriculture I/II is designed to give students in the 11th and 12th grades the opportunity to explore and gain hands-on knowledge and agriculture industry experience in various agricultural fields including agriculture business and communications, agriculture mechanics, animal science, plant science, horticulture, and floriculture. Agriculture industry/job site hours are developed according to specific job training plans. Course includes exploration of various careers, extended education, and employment/job preparation opportunities.
Biography Mr. Baffunno, a Los Banos native, teaches Internships in Agriculture I/II for Gustine High School. He attended local schools including Los Banos High School (1988-1992) and Merced College (1992-1994).He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Science, his California Credential in Agricultural Education for Secondary Agricultural Education at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (1994-1998) and his Masters of Science Degree in Agriculture 1998-2003). Mr. Baffunno resides in Los Banos where he spends his free time watching sports, hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and traveling. Mission Statement To inform students about the importance of agriculture and become more aware of agriculture in their everyday lives. I want others to know that without agriculture, life would be very different.
