We are dedicated to services, researched based practices and data-informed decision-making as we respond to the challenges in education today. We partner with districts and other educational agencies throughout the county to ensure that educators are provided with quality professional development experiences, and that ultimately, all students receive a rigorous and challenging education.

The focus of MCOE's Educational Services Department is to promote leadership through a variety of support services that complement and supplement those offered in Merced County districts and that ultimately increase student achievement. These include the provision of: meaningful professional development and coaching opportunities; services to assist schools in their continuous improvement cycles; data support to inform instructional programming; the dissemination of relevant educational information, quality student events and programs; access to innovative media and technology service; technical assistance and resources for districts; and assistance with state and federal compliance mandates.

Our staff is dedicated to assisting Merced County schools, and playing a vital role in their efforts to increase student achievement. We are eager to work with districts to address their educational needs through the delivery of quality services and support for educators and students of Merced County.​​
