Camp Green Meadows is located in Fish Camp, California at about 5,000 feet elevation. We are only 20 minutes away from the city of Oakhurst and two miles outside of Yosemite National Park. The town of Fish Camp has a US Post Office, Fire and Emergency Response services, and a General Store. The camp is surrounded by the beautiful Sierra National Forest and an extensive network of trails and backcountry roads travel out from Green Meadows. In addition, Green Meadows is bordered by "Big Creek" which provides unique opportunities to explore and learn about different ecosystems.
The camp facilities themselves consist of two villages of residential cabins, the dining hall, the nurse's station, the nature center classroom/conference room, and the campfire amphitheater. The separate cabin villages are located on opposite ends of the camp, and for our school year programs boys sleep in one village while girls sleep in the other; students are only allowed to go in the village that they sleep in. The central area of Green Meadows is paved and level, efficiently laid out, and accessible to people with disabilities. There is a parking area close to the center of camp and there are sidewalks leading up to the entrance of each building.
During the school year Camp Green Meadows runs outdoor school programs during the week, and on the weekends the site is available for rent. Over the summer we also rent out Green Meadows to private groups. Rentals can range from use of only a few selected buildings to the entire camp facility, including meal service from our talented kitchen staff! Weekend rentals of Green Meadows are perfect for family cabin camping trips, conferences, or retreats. We also offer custom one-day team building programs for corporate, school, church, or athletic groups. Our Naturalist staff will lead your group in a series of challenges designed to strengthen your teamwork.
