Merced County ASSETS

After School Student Education: Teamwork for Success


 

The Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) was awarded a State of California After School Education and Safety Grant to implement after school programs at 42​ school sites in Merced County. This is a collaborative project between MCOE, school districts, and community organizations to coordinate, integrate, and enhance academic and enrichment opportunities for students.

  • Monthly Thematic Units
  • Service Learning Projects
  • Health & Wellness
  • Recreational Sports & Activities
  • Visual & Performing Arts
  • Cultural Awareness

Program Hours

Programs operate each day at school dismissal until 6:00 pm. Schools dismissing after 3:00 pm will operate for a minimum of 3 hours per day.


 

Who can attend?

 
Program enrollment is open to all students in the school. The program services students in grade levels K-8, grade levels may vary by school site. Should enrollment exceed the program capacity, a waiting list is developed.​


 

Program Cost

The program is provided at NO COST to all participants.
