Internal Financial Services office is responsible several budget and accounting services, which include overall budget and accounting for MCOE's $188 million dollar operating budget, as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable and many other accounting services for 1,400 employees and departments of MCOE.

Additionally, the office consolidates and prepares the annual budget, first and second interim reports, presents them to the County Board of Education and then submits them to the California Department of Education.

This office also completes many other State and Federal reporting requirements and is responsible for the County School State Facilities Fund, which is used to build new MCOE schools, purchase relocatable classrooms and school modernization.
