Le Grand Elementary School District Robotics Team Recognized at State Capitol

On behalf of the Le Grand Union Elementary School District:
The Le Grand Union Elementary School District robotics team was invited to the California State Capitol by Senator Josh Newman to support Senate Resolution 106, which designates October as Intellectual Property Month. The resolution recognizes the importance of intellectual property as a catalyst for innovation and protection of creative works.
During their visit, the Le Grand robotics team met with Senator Josh Newman, who commended them for their hard work and contributions to the field of robotics, and were recognized on the Senate floor for their dedication to the principles of innovation and intellectual property.
The team also had the opportunity to tour the historic Capitol building, gain insight into the legislative system and the learn about the significance of their participation in the democratic process.
A highlight of their visit was meeting "Spot," the cutting-edge robotic dog from Boston Dynamics, which thrilled the young robotics enthusiasts and provided a glimpse into the future of robotics technology.
Le Grand Union Elementary School District Superintendent Scott Borba expressed pride in the students, stating, "Our Robotics Team's invitation to the Capitol is a testament to their hard work, creativity and commitment to innovation. It is an honor for our district to be part of such an important initiative that celebrates intellectual property and the role it plays in our society."
