Migrant Education Summer Arts Program Showcases Student Artwork at Final Exhibition

Students enrolled in the Migrant Education Summer Arts Program showcased their artistic talents during an art exhibition on Wednesday, July 3. The exhibition featured a collection of 2D and 3D art pieces created by rising ninth grade students from the MCOE Migrant Education Program.

Families, friends and community members were invited to attend the event, which was free and open to the public. Visitors had the opportunity to explore art pieces and engage with the student artists.

Art pieces on display were created by students at their homes, classrooms and the Earthworks Clayspace in Downtown Merced.

The Migrant Education Program at MCOE is a federal program that provides educational and support services to eligible migrant children and their families. Region III serves students in Merced, Madera and Stanislaus Counties. The Migrant Education Summer Arts Program provides migrant students with access to creative resources and a platform for creative expression.
