Trustees Take Oath of Office for Merced County Office of Education Board

Newly elected trustee Rodrigo Espinoza and re-elected trustee Frank Fagundes were sworn in by Merced County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Tietjen for the Merced County Office of Education board of trustees. The newly elected board member will represent District 4, which covers cities of Delhi, Gustine, Hilmar, Livingston and rural areas on Merced County’s west side.

Espinoza previously served as Merced County Supervisor for District 1. Fagundes was re-elected to another 4-year term on the board.

Espinoza will serve alongside Trustee Dennis Hanks, Area 1, Trustee Tim Razzari, Area 2 and trustee members Frank Fagundes and Geneva Brett, who represent Areas 3 and 5 respectively.  

The Merced County Board of Education consists of five members elected by voters in their trustee area. The board operates under the authority of the California Constitution, the State Legislature, California Education Code and the California State Board of Education.
