MCOE Special Education Students Hold Very Special Arts Performance

Students from the MCOE Special Education Program held a special performance as part of the Very Special Arts program. Under the guidance of MCOE teacher Mikee-d Love-Asenjo, the performance brought together students, family and educators for a memorable showcase of creativity and talent.

The Very Special Arts, which helps make art accessible to people of all abilities, has provided a platform for students in the program to shine and participate in the arts. Many of the students who participate include those in the deaf and hard-of-hearing program and orthopedically impaired program. This year's performance was the first since July 2020.

The performance not only celebrated students' abilities but also highlighted the importance of inclusive arts education for students with special needs.
