To assist you in determining whether or not you are proficient enough to apply, consider reviewing the eligibility requirements at the matrix below.

- Sample Online Testing with Avant (most languages will use this testing platform using Avant 4S or Avant WS). If you do not see your language, please contact our office for more information.
Educator Resources
To assist you in determining if students are proficient enough to apply, consider using the following tools to test students in class:
- Download the Student Oral Language Observation Matrix (SOLOM)
- Download the On-Demand Writing Rubric (Target Essay)
These tests are no longer used to test proficiency at the county level unless a CDE approved test is not available but is a valuable tool to use for practice.
